Bridge to Health's Third Annual Golf Tournament

Held on Friday, September 20th, 2019

A memorable day of golf in support of our work in East Africa.

Thanks to our amazing sponsors for making our 2019 Golf Tournament a tremendous success!!

All of the the money raised will be supporting our 2020 outreach programs in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda - we expect to treat over 12,000 patients, train 100+ health care providers and continue developing sustainable health care programs for the communities we serve.

How does Bridge to Health achieve our vision?
Empowering communities for a healthier future

Provide high quality medical and dental care

We have provided free, comprehensive care to about 45,000 patients living in rural, under serviced communities

Educate local populations on disease prevention and treatment

For example, we have initiated fluoride varnishing and oral health education programs, with over 10,000 children treated to date

Train local healthcare practitioners via mentorship, lectures, and year-round virtual learning

We have provided on-the-job training to ~700 providers and launched specialized programs such as point of care diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer, a disease that has a 20.5% prevalence among East African women (read more in Journal of Global Oncology)

Research to identify and inform sustainable, cost effective, long-term solutions

For example, our research showed a sixfold increase in antenatal care visits when women are exposed to radio advertisement of ultrasound imaging -- the chance to see their unborn child (read more in PLOS One and The New York Times

All programs are designed and implemented in East Africa in collaboration with local partner organizations.
